A complain about the poorest service in LV Paris shop

Dear Sir/Madam,
I would like to complain about the service in LV Paris shop (Galeries Lafayette). I have visited to the shop during my trip in Paris (dated 15:53 May 21, 2005). By asking the sales lady (Vendeuse C.R. 748) for a Speedy 30 (cost EUR 400), she showed me the bag after waiting for a long queue. After checking with the bag, I dared to buy it with the EUR 500 note I withdrew in Hong Kong. However. after showing my passport and the note to the sales lady, she told me that the shop didn't accept Cash and required me to pay by credit card. How rediculous the policies are? I used my EUR 500 note for buying a bag but the shop could reject me. She informed me to return the note to the one who gave me. Crazy! It's my money and I bought it for my wife as gift. How can I return my money? I am interested to know how your firm employed staff? Is it one of the rule they have to obey? I strongly felt that I have been discriminated and I would like to seek for legal advice if I can.
